Cookies

The shortest page on this site, because we barely use any.

What we set

A sign-in cookie, when you have an account and sign in. It is what keeps you signed in between pages, and nothing works without it. It identifies your session, not your browsing.

A small preference for light or dark mode, stored in your browser so the site remembers your choice.

What we do not set

We set no advertising cookie, analytics cookie, or third-party cookie. Our self-hosted Umami analytics does not use cookies.

Why there is no cookie banner

The sign-in cookie is needed when you use an account. Umami works without a cookie, and there is no advertising cookie to accept or reject.

If you block cookies

The public pages work fine. Signing in does not, because the session cookie is how we know it is you.
